Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4 1954), is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara has won a number awards which include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was appointed as an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actor in the year 1974 when she was an actor in The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara as well as Candy began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
